About Legion Jiu Jitsu

Legion Jiu Jitsu was founded on four core values, each embedded in our logo: Unity, Courage, Devotion, and Vigor. These aren't just words on a wall. They are the principles that define how we train, how we lead, and how we show up for each other every day.

The Helmet represents Unity: the core of what Legion is built on. A Legion is a large group of great humans who empower each other to be great on and off the mats. Whether it's growing our skills in jiu-jitsu, building the confidence to tackle a big project at work, or navigating everyday life as a parent or spouse, our unity generates the support we all need to succeed as a team and as individuals.

The Eagle represents Courage, a characteristic you develop the moment you step out of your comfort zone and onto the mat. In ancient Rome, the eagle featured on the standard of the Roman Legions represented courage. The belt you wear symbolizes the eagle that you carry into battle every day, both on the mats and in your life.

The King represents Devotion: a commitment to training and skill development. Just like chess, it takes time to master the many variables in the game. Years of hard work, studying, and creating a game plan proves a devotion to yourself and to accomplishing something that many never try.

The Grapplers represent Vigor: the energy, enthusiasm, and resilience that jiu-jitsu demands of us all. Without vigor on the mats and in life, we find ourselves accepting the status quo and not setting the conditions to meet our full potential.
